Notice and regulate
Recognize what you’re feeling and practice ways to become steadier, making room for reflection before reacting.
MY APPROACH
A compassionate, personalized approach that brings practical counseling skills together with your values, beliefs, and goals.
THOUGHTS · DECISIONS · ACTIONS
Emotions deserve attention and care. They can tell us something important without having to determine our next action.
Recognize what you’re feeling and practice ways to become steadier, making room for reflection before reacting.
Explore thoughts, beliefs, expectations, and emotional needs. Consider another perspective and what aligns with your values.
Take a manageable next step. Notice what happens and use that experience to inform the choices that follow.
TRANSFORMATIONAL RENEWAL FRAMEWORK

The Transformational Renewal Framework, or TRF, is the framework I’m developing to bring together clinical understanding, practical skills, and Christian faith.
It grew from noticing connections between the processes described in counseling theories and the wisdom found in Scripture. My conviction is that all truth is God’s truth, and that science and Scripture can work together in understanding change.
The practical starting point is accessible to people from any background: notice what is happening, explore what you believe, and practice an intentional response. Faith integration is guided by your preferences.
CHRIST-CENTERED & CLIENT-GUIDED
At intake, I ask about your cultural background, religious beliefs, and whether you want those integrated into your sessions. For clients seeking Christian counseling, our work can include Scripture, prayer, and reflection on God’s character alongside clinical tools.
I also counsel people from other faith traditions and those with no religious affiliation. You don’t need a Christian standpoint to benefit from the practical skills we explore.
When a belief or background is unfamiliar to me, I invite you to help me understand what matters to you.
TOOLS TAILORED TO YOU
I draw eclectically from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy, Logotherapy, and mindfulness.
When useful, I also incorporate Therapeutic Tapping as an emotion regulation technique. My interest in neuroscience and neuroplasticity informs my emphasis on practice, repetition, and creating opportunities for new responses.
The approach we use is shaped by your needs and the goals we establish together.

SMALL MOMENTS OF CONNECTION
An ordinary moment can become an invitation to listen, express appreciation, or turn toward someone you love. Attention gives us a place to begin.
WHEN YOU’RE READY
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you reach out.
